Charles Melton was born in 1991, in Juneau, Alaska to his parents, Phil Melton (father) and Sukyong Melton (mother). He was raised in Manhattan, Kansas with his sister, Tammie Melton. He went to Kansas State University. Charles joined the Applause Rising Talent Showcase (ARTS) in Orlando, Florida.
